Fruit blossom in all shapes and colors

Each spring flowering fruit trees are again a pleasure to watch. And later in the year you can enjoy delicious, healthy fruit. Of apples, peaches, pears and plums. But of particular species such as apricots, almonds and even medlar. Some also show an extra brilliant autumn colors of the leaves. Every single one of them in an ornamental garden worthwhile.
Most are low and as a shrub, and even tall tree shapes. There are so rich flowering and fruit plants for every garden, from large to small. And even duoboompjes which two kinds of apples grow and are extremely narrow tree (branch almost free).
A rich choice
Apples (Malus domestica) bloom almost always in pink hues. Most varieties must be pollinated by another variety to many fruits to form, but there are others who have good self-pollinate. Then a tree or bush enough. The choice of varieties is great. For the garden are old varieties of course very nice. Often, the fruits of a more delicious flavor. There are fresh-tasting dessert apples, apple puree and sweet apple varieties.
Pears (Pyrus communis) flower white. Already in the Stone Age were then hard (oven) pears eaten. Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) are usually as a shrub planted in a sheltered spot. Ripe apricots from the garden are a delightful sensation. They bloom white or pink.
Almond (Prunus dulcis) should be warm and sheltered. The pink flowers are very large and appear very early: March-April. The fruit of the seeds used ('Amaretto'). From a cross of a peach is P. x amygdalopersica created, beautifully deep red blooms.
Peaches (Prunus persica) flower pink and should be sunny and sheltered. Especially peaches are often used as espalier. There are excellent, self-pollinating varieties for outdoor cultivation. Nectarines are closely related.
Also very nice, pretty flowers and tasty: quince (Cydonia oblonga), medlar (Mespilus germanica) and mulberry (Morus alba and M. nigra).
Good plantsPlant them as deep as they are in the pot or in the nursery and stood in a large hole. Set in windy areas and tree-pole in half and tall forms. Spread the roots out, press the soil firmly around the roots and give generously of water after the implantation.
